| | Low Co2 Cars!Co2 is the scientific name for carbon dioxide and this is a gas which is generally thought to be one of the main greenhouse gases that is responsible for heating the planet.
Unfortunately it's a bi-product of burning fossil fuels such as oil and coal so is released into the atmosphere from some power stations, factories and also our everyday car travel.
It's unavoidable unless we all switch to electric cars and as that still seems some way off at the moment then the best we can do for now is to try to limit the amount of Co2 generated. Just driving less or sharing a car would work of course, but for many people this is not practical. Many car manufacturers have been aware of this for some time and have been actively working towards lowering Co2 levels by making engines much more efficient.
As well as helping to save the planet you will be helping your pocket too as the annual road tax fee is much less for low Co2 cars plus they generally tend to be very economical and have cheaper insurance too.
So if you currently drive an old uneconomical car that's constantly in the garage it can often make financial sense to switch to a small new car. There's also some very easy finance options such as PCP to make it a very easy transition!
